got a 2011 m8 and was thinkin about getting some slp powder pro skis. Are they worth getting or should I use the money on something else? I already have a super q can. I have read that some people like them and some dont. any thoughts?

I put the Powder Pros on my 10' HCR and noticed a difference right away. The skis float way better than the factory ones do. My opinion, money well spent!!

Rode an M7 with stock skis today after a few years with Powder Pros. It SUCKED. Stock skis are garbage. PPs are one of the best things you can do to an M sled imo

Powder pros are a nice addition. You can actually turn when you put them on and they do float better. With that being said i dont think the stock one are that bad. Easier to turn and i like the way the stock ski counter steer better than the Pros. I would probably save my money or spend it on clutching if I had it to do again.

I had Powder Pro's on my sled when I bought it and I love them, then I rode a guys sled that had the stock skis and I couldn't ride at all, the stock skis suck. The Powders Pros are worth the money!!!

Love my Powder Pros.

Worked great on my 03 EDGE RMK and 06 M7.

I put them on my 09 and 11 M8 and they steered really hard in setup snow. Put 07 spindles on my 11 and its like power steering.

I highly recommend swapping spindles for anyone running aggressive skis on an 08 and up M.

I love my powder pros. I have had them on several different sleds and I feel they turn better when moving slow in powder and I think they grab better on turns in corners on the trail when there is loose snow. I felt the stock skis would push more or washout in corners. The powder pros definitely are harder to turn with on the trail! They are a workout for your forearms! I haven't thought much about the difference in carving ability between PPs and stock skis.

diff a big improvement on my 09 crossfire over stock. Only problem I have with them is that stey steer hard but the corner very well wether u are in the soft snow or hard pack trail. I have heard that the newly designed cat skis are better than the previous design.

+1 for the Powder Pros. Just put them on my 09 M8, and seemed to make the sled more predictable, it goes where you point it. They are way better in deep snow and get rid of all the stock ski diving. I would put um on another M

depends what sorta snow you are ridin in i switch from HCR stock skis to powder pros and the pros are way super agressive when you are on hard stuff and try to trow you over the bars every now and again i like the stock HCR ones the best

stock skis

I tried Powder pro on my new M8 but I think it was to hard too steer so now the stock are back and they work great.
On my xfire 8 -08 powder pro worked alot better and stock skis sucked

Powder Pro's.....Have had them on an 05 m7, dragon, RMK and now my 2010 M8. Best ski for boondocking, powder riding, etc. May not be the best for pounding the trails though. You shouldn't be disapointed if you try them.

Powder pros are great skis on some sleds, just not a newer m8. Use your money for something else.
Eric at vohk did a year long study on diff skis for the m8 and stocks was the best. I totally agree with him and others above who say stock is better. You don't use the skis unless your on the trail. These ain't ski doos, you got to lay the sled over to turn in the powder. So there is no reason to buy them when you could get a ceramic brake or revalve the rear skid?

like the name says, powder pro. not trail pro. I run them on my 2010 M 800. they work great in the powder and loose snow conditions. but they suck on the hard packed trail, they dart around alot, and in the heavy wet and crusted spring snow look out you will go one way and your sled the other. I run the powder pro until spring and change over to the stock skies for spring riding.
