Arctic Cat in Trouble

that’s one thing that always baffled me. When the proclimb came out and had issues in 2012 they were never allowed to live it down, at least on the internet, even though they were pretty solid sleds by 2014 and just got better from there. Even after the ascender came out people were still bad mouthing them for the 2012 issues. Yet Polaris has been building less than reliable engines for years and then the stacks of recalls in recent years, or the belt eating issues when the doo 850 came out and aside from the guys who personally experienced the issues, not much was said.
Thanks Vern! You're post not only summed up the sled market but also our mainstream media BS news feed/propaganda too the feeble minded, but let's stick to sleds. 2012 cats weren't great but compared to poo they were strong thanks to the chassis and bullet proof engine, Polaris would fold like paper with any rock/stump hit but Burandt says its "flickable" and all the brainwashed followers would buy polaris and rebuild the engines constantly. My 2014 cat.... stock... would out power all to doos and poos around it but still the brainwashed word play would say its "cat crap." For many years any used poo/doo sled ad listed for sale said, "rebuilt engine" like it was the norm, not cat. Guess the takeaway is how feeble minded are you?

Yup, my stock ‘14 would easily hang with a buddies 910 big bored ‘15 pro, and majority of my group has always rode Polaris and none of my cats have ever had any problem getting where those lighter weight “flickable” sleds would go. There’s only one place the Polaris’s in my group have ever out shined my cats and that is on the number of times they’ve came out on the end of a tow strap. Come to think of it, knock on wood, I haven’t had to be towed out once since switching to cat in ‘06 and most of the cats I’ve owned have been sold with 3-5k miles on them still on the original engines. If it wasn’t for social media, I’d have no idea how horrible arctic cats actually are.

Same experience here. I have towed a couple for breaking of steering posts, but note…..we broke them. They were painful hits. One motor problem came home on a rope, 6500 miles and was rider error, newbie ignored temp sensor on hard trail. Can’t count how many sleds were never towed out with 8-10 machines out on most rides.

It's currently 2025.

You guys are a decade late on the comebacks. 😂

Dang... I'll just mention that the middle class is dying in every country you mention because of progressive taxes, and countries like England especially are self-destructed because of confiscatory taxes (ever hear the tale of the golden goose?), but you've already done me far better than any argument I could make. I know I'm not getting through to you no matter how many books I read or who I cite, and this isn't the place anyway. The sudden hard left to Putin tells me everything: it's remarkable that I'm pointing out economic realities that led to the fall of Rome, but you think you're the student of history and I'm a student of Putin's propaganda. Finally, I read on a regular basis - recently the likes of Solzhenitsyn, Dostoevsky, and Orwell have become all to prescient - and for better or worse, I'm well past the "I can't believe this is happening here" phase.
Your words; "the middle class is dying in every country mentioned because of progressive taxes, and countries like England especially are self-destructed because of confiscatory taxes". SORRY, THOSE STATEMENTS ARE SIMPLY NOT TRUE. The exact opposite has happened. Progressive taxes were installed in 1920 in most western countries (in response to the 1918 Commie Bolshevik Russian Revolution) and that created a HUGE economic boom in the western world. Maxing out about 92% sometime around 1950. From 1950 to 1980 our top marginal income tax rate for our richest top 0.1% was reduced to about 72%, which would have been fine if we left it there. Since then, however, our top marginal income tax rate has dropped from 72% to 8%. The fact is, our middle class are dying because rich people are paying FAR LESS tax, and financial burdens are falling onto the Middle Class. Exactly as Thomas Piketty's research predicted in his book "Capital". Yes, people in the Middle Class are suffering, but not for the reasons you stated.

The other thing that is killing the UK is Brexit, when they knowingly and willingly walled themselves off from Europe. Dumbest thing they've done in a long time. Unfortunately, they followed direction and promises from their hard-right-wing liar political party, which has since been run out of power. But the damage was done, and now it's very difficult to reverse.

It’s not blaming the rich. It’s facts. Poor people can’t add cash to the economy, but they can add services.
Once established, wealth compounds exponentially.
Same with poverty.
Without the generosity or basic economics of the wealthy giving back, there is no prosperity or even economic function.

Or You missed the context.
The context is pretty easy to see.

Raw nerve has been touched.

Some are feeling like people are kicking cat while it's down.

Purchase justification statements are flying (from everyone)

Some hard truths are being stated that have been played out over time. (Only one mfg has stopped production)

Not everyone wants to hear.

And then somehow Commie politics got dragged into it.

The most recent wealth distribution attempt was in sweden.

They raised taxes on the rich and estimated an increase in revenue of 160 ish million.

Always forgetting like all marxists that people change behavior. (Unless they are already in the gulag) - see UK political prisoners........

Net result was that individuals with net worth of 3 billion moved out of the country and tax revenues fell 160 million.

Wow that worked exactly how it always does.

Keeping anyone else from ever reaching success in that country and also driving capital away.

The context, at least for my comments, is that cat sleds are not nor have ever been as bad as they are made out to be on social media. Nothing more nothing less.
