I hear the skidoo adjustable riser is better then the Rox one.

im not sure if it fits the cats though?

anyone know?

Was going to do it. Bought 14 HCR post to do it and went to Doo dealer to get riser. First off riser is double the height collapsed as the riser in the HCR kit, second it is 1/4 " too wide to properly bolt to it. To do this properly you would have to cut post down to just above the bushings and weld on a wider cross t. Even then the lowest height would be about same as current adjustable post.

I put HCR post on with Wildchilds bushing kit and now have tight (no play at all) non adjustable steering. Will play with riser height starting with the 4" one that came in kit.

Good to know about the width. I was pretty set on getting one of these for my pro-lite. Now I'll have to make sure it will fit before I buy it. I know ski-doo makes three different versions of these risers. I think they are 4.5"-6.5" 7/8 to 7/8, 4.5"-6.5" 7/8 to 1-1/8, and 7"-10" 7/8 to 7/8. Not 100% positive on all those numbers so be aware when you are buying.

Strange, I've got 3 people I know running them on the Proclimb.

As to height, there are 3 of them, you must have bought the obnoxiously tall one by accident. If the HCR one is 4", there are two that are in that range, one is the lower 7/8" bar one, which starts at 5.1" (I had one, just sold it) and another starts at 4.5, but it's the 1-1/8" one which you've got to get the kind of spacers Rox uses to run it with a 7/8" bar (but then you can swap to an 1-1/8" moto bar easier later if you want)... you can get the spacers from anyone who sells handguards or risers. I just bought the 4.5" one, and did a little dremel work, now it's a 4" riser on the low end.

Perhaps the tall riser is wider than the others, and this is why you had fitment issues?

FYI, the top 3 are your options,

The tall one btw starts at 7.3"... friggin ape hangers!!! :D

I read they are not as tight

How do you mean tight?

I've run a rox 4-6 for years, still have one of my first ones, it's on my wife's sled now... ONLY reason for going to the doo riser for me was the ease of quick adjustment on the doo one. It's easy & fast, so you'll change it when you want to rather than reaching for a wrench to change the ROX one. I used to carry a 1/2 or 13mm wrench in my pocket, but that got old.

Thanks for the info, didn't buy one went into Doo dealer and checked and asked what they had and they only had 2 options and that is all they said there was. Options were the tall with 7/8 both ends and the other for the fat bar and both were 7+ inches tall. That being said I was wanting to be able to start at same height as lowest setting on stock Snopro adjustable post and without modifying the post that won't happen with the HCR post and 4.5" Doo riser. I will most likely be putting a 2" block in place of the 4" but am going to try the 4 first. This is still taller than lowest original setting.

I ment not as heavy duty as the doo one. Just what i read. Im sure they are fine

Oh yeah... don't get me wrong, I like the doo one just for speed, but I can't imagine breaking the rox riser

Here... just to get an idea how strong they are, this was my 2009 1000, it had my 4-6" rox risers on it, and the SAME risers are still in use on Abby's 2014.:face-icon-small-win

I'd say they're plenty strong :face-icon-small-sho

Oh yeah... if you wanted to get down to 2, the things that sucks is that there's ZERO adjustable options. The lowest I've found any adjustable to go is 4. I've been finding that I REALLY like having the taller side if the riser for whoops & jumping, finally landed a double can for the first time after trying for year & always ending up on one side of the sled like a dufus, so I wanted to make the shortest one they had go a little shorter so I could have both.

There's no option that's taller for the 1-1/8" bar though.. someone wasn't being terribly helpful for you it seems.

I'd still rather have the Zbros post topper than the HCR post, as it allows you to get the T where it belongs, down LOW. IMO the T is higher than I'd prefer on the HCR post which limits riser selection.

For those with the ROX adjustable height, with the new wrenchless kit. Do you have any issues in adjusting both levers? I was just thinking the single ski-doo setup would be faster/easier than the ROX.

What is the bar size for the XFs? How about the steering plate? Are they the same? Sorry my sled is up at the cabin otherwise I would measure it up.

Do you know if the Ski-Doo 860200634, 130 mm-205 mm, has the same bar sizes to fit Cats?

Any need for cable extensions going from 6.5" to 8"?

The 130-205 is for the 7/8" bar (which is what all cats come with), the only one that is for a 1-1/8" bar is the 115mm one.

This goes for any Cat guys with a larger than stock riser. Will adding 2" to the riser require cable extensions?
