anyone switch rev xp skis one side to the other?

I think the xp skis suck, they just push and don't turn. I believe someone posted about switching the right ski for the left and would never go back. Has anyone tried this and what do you think?

If you don't think they turn good in the stock setup, you really won't like them switched. By swapping the skies the sled seems to lay over better on set up snow, but won't turn as well. I find it hard to believe you don't think the XP turns good.

thats actually what im looking for. It does not lay over on setup snow well. I love how it handles in powder but when the snow is setup or greasy it pushes and does not turn well. Thanks for the input.

Loosen your front shock spring (rear susp) and tighten the rear springs.

Rode today with them switched for the first time. on a 07 rev, but same 6.9 pilot skis, put a 15" wide track on also. WAY BETTER! the sled is fun to ride now, it'll go where i want.the skis like to snowplow on the sharp corners though, and on the trails are a bit more squirely.

I'd say the single best thing one can do to a ski-doo is a 15" track and swap the skis around or get new skis.

are you sure the skis where installed right the first time? and if so get another set of carbides and put them on the outside edge, did this to mine and i noticed a great improvement sidehilling.

The rev likes to have the dual carbides the xp seems to like the single carbide..i do agree the 15 wide track works really well on the rev...much better then the 16

Listen to winterbrew, plus;
  • Unhook your sway bar
  • Front skis on firmest setting
  • Loosen track so you have 1 inch of sag at the pivot arm brace
