Anyone pull this off

This plastic foam peice of crap? Looks to me like it is just for noise?
Just want to see if anyone is running with out it problem free.
Makes it alot easier to see in there.

Took mine off and tie straped everything together so I can get to it on the trail, had a couple of hoses come loose and couldn't get to them until I got home. I also put a 1 in piece of hose under everthing to support it on the starter hosing.

i got mine second hand didnt even know it was spose to have that thing so yeah works fine without it

Make sure you put reflective heat tape on your recoil.

That foam piece was purposely placed there to balance your sled while in a cornice drop...when wet 4.7 lb.s of balance. No really it's useless, kind of like a maxy pad on a fish. Get it off!

Peeled the foam all out with 0 miles on my 09. Also took the plastic off the clutch guard at the same time. Inquired with the dealer to make sure he inspected the clutch alignment. Belt one gone at 180 miles.

No problems with it off, but yes take above advice and put heat tape on recoil!! Makes it alot easier to get to your oil adjustment with it off too....

I put heat tape on the lower rad hose wear it is close to the exhaust but not on my recoil.
