Looking to change my 2019 RMK 850 155” into a 146” so it’s more capable of riding both trails/ditches and the mountain. Two sleds in one.
Has anyone done this? Curious to see how much warmer the temps would be and if the cooling system can keep up. I would have to shorten the tunnel obviously but let me
Know your guys thoughts?
Would be using ICEAGE 146” bomber rails and possibly the 1.6” storm track or 2”. Thanks in advance for any info.

Several guys have done it.
No problems with cooling.

Gets you a sled 60# lighter than an sks or sba.

We have a 146 SKS and a 155 SKS, I was just talking to my buddies about this. I think the 146 RMK would be a blast riding in the areas we usually do. The SKS 146 is based on the trail chassis and the steering post is the only down fall, if it had the PRO style steering I would hop on that everytime. An 850 RMK 146 would be the first sled I would even consider snowchecking. We don't rode the extremely deep stuff that often and I mainly just like to mess around, wheelies, carve in meadows and light tree riding. I would be curious to see some pictures of the ass end of your conversion.

I think I'd probably go back to Polaris is they made a Pro RMK 146. My 155 sks was way more capable than we need around here. I think the fun factor would be through the roof on a 146 pro! Definitely something I'm going to look into doing in the coming years. Best of luck with it Montgom!
