Any changes to the Alpha rail for 2022?

Hi all - I just bought a new 2021 Riot X and have been shopping for a 2" track for midwest riding (planning to swap in the 2.6 when heading west). I came across 2 tracks, one of which is noted as being "new for 2022" with a split alpha window. Its listed to fit the following:

Fits the following 146" models:

2022 Blast M Late Build
2022 Riot X 8000 Late Build
2022 M 8000 Hardcore 146" 2.86-pitch Late Build
(Excludes Early Build models)

What would be different on the rail from a late build 2022 and a 2021 that would make this not fit on a 2021? First image is of the track that they are saying fits a 2021 and early build 2022's and the second is the fitment listed above with the split window. Also, any idea what the benefit would be (ie: does it create better track life)?

I thought that initially, but doesn't the driver link with the "teeth" on the inside of the track and not the windows themselves? Unless they went with more of a sprocket type design for 2022...

Just poking a guess, but the 2-hole design might keep lubricating snow on the hyfax better and also provide a smaller hole for sticks to find their way in to.

i believe the drivers drive on the track clips too. i have a 18 mtn cat and am pretty sure thats how mine is.

The width of the window is the same overall though, or at least it appears to be. Unless the 2021 drivers need the larger window, then that would make sense. The split window track is about $200 cheaper which is why I am hung up lol.

Agreed. I wonder what would be different about a late build vs early build or 2021 to make this track not work.

The only parts fiche for the 2022's on Country Cat's website for the early build 2022 Riot X's

Sorry, it won't let me edit my last comment. The only parts fiche I can find is for the 2022 Riot X early builds.
