Went for a ride yesterday and noticed my altimeter was reading 20,000 high. Anyone seen this before and what did you do to fix it? Thanks

Makes me wonder if something is unplugged, I would check that first, especially if any work has recently been done.
Was this after a little smoke break ?
Are you riding with a Silber turbo, if not disregard the following.
With a silber turbo, the computer tuning changes the altimeter to read very weird and this is normal. I was concerned about this with my Silber turbo and contacted the dealer that installed it, who said this was how it reads. It would read between 20-30K feet.
