Will the alpha 10” rear track wheels fit on the twin wheel. I know this is a popular upgrade for doo. I did it to my doo back in the day and made it more playful

TKI has a kit for conversion. And Id buy TKI wheels too. Alpha wheels wear quickly on the alpha as far as rounding out. Prob not as big an issue on the twin rail since the track isnt flexing around them as much...

any extra rubbing or catching tunnel edge specifically with the 3"? was thinking the alpha doesn't compress as far but IDK.

No. Only thing what i noticed was that engine runs a little warmer.. 10" wheels doesnt throw snow back like smaller wheels..

I may do this on my 2015 Pro-climb with a 154 x 3". So I would need 2 Alpha rear wheels (or billet wheels) and 1" or 1 1/2" offset axle? What are the benefits? I am guessing (like track porting) the track rolls a little bit easier because of the more gradual turn on the track as it goes around the rear axle? With a 154" track in the deep stuff I am already at a minimum track length and I am worried about two things. The first is by going to larger rear idlers I will be losing at least one paddle in the snow and the other is, with less track on the snow my sled will be even more prone to wheeling in the steep stuff.

With the offset you lose about 1/4” footprint. The wheel goes up and forward so your not really losing any paddles on the snow.

Got it. That picture tells a 1000 words. Thank you. Now, is it really worth trouble of doing? Also, how much of an offset should the axle have? 1" or 1.25"?

How much off set you need depends on what size wheel you’re replacing.
I put the TKI 1” off set axle on rails designed for 8” wheels. Used the alpha 10” wheels.

Thanks Madmax!

I haven't measured my 2015 rear idlers yet but, I am assuming they are 8".

So all I need to do is order two Alpha rear idler wheels P/N 4604-281 and replace the stock 8" rear idlers with the 10"?

I guess I also need to order a 1" offset rear axle. so the larger wheels will fit.

Easy peasy!
