Does anyone have a part number for an OEM tether for my daughters 07 M6? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Those did not have a factory installed tether, you can use any normally open type tether. Just order one of the new magnetic ones and splice it in. If you look under accessories on AC site there are some tethers

Yes I’m aware they didn’t come from the factory with them installed but I think AC makes one that you can install? I would consider aftermarket but I’d rather not splice wires.

I will let you know once I get this one should get it Tuesday. I am hoping I can’t just unplug the heated visor plug wire and just plug this tether in ?. I don’t need the heated visor as boy uses goggles.

I still haven’t found one.

Hey Radar so I got the tether kit that I bought off a guy with a 2010 M8. It was all plug a d play with the harness came with it. I just unplug the 2 pin coming from the Ignition switch(key) and the. Plug this harness pin to the 2 sets of 2 pin connectors and done. Very easy and works perfect.

I just bought from my dealer the magnetic tether for my 07 M and a harness that is plug in and go. I have not installed yet and the harness is pricy but it looks like good quality.

I am sure if you find the same cat tether I have you can do the same thing I did radar. There is tons of guys here in Canada that sell parted sleds. I can take a look for you for the same tether and harness I have. Let you know.

Well the harness is for a proclimb and wont fit the M. I did find the plug for the magnetic tether and ordered them. This will be a easy harness to make.

I have the magnetic tether installed on my M sled. It was all plug in and go. No soldering or splicing.

I bought the connector at Mouser and the splitter harness on Amazon. The other 2 pin at CT or any auto store, under 30 bucks and you have enough for two tether installs. Connector part # 34900-2120 and the female pins 571-7-1452668-3-LP (mouser #)
