I’ve got an odd issue I’m trying to diagnose. My 99 SKS 700 keeps randomly losing spark in one cylinder but not always the same side. Almost always happens at start up but it has happened while riding. I pull a plug wire off while running to see which side it is this time. My main question is, CDI or stator? I called two dealers, one had no idea and the other said “sounds like a mechanical issue, probably a crank seal.”
Im not sure I believe that but who knows. My headlight has also been inconsistent but figured that’s the voltage regulator. I have a new one here to be installed today.
