Put a fresh clutch in my sled, left the stock weights, I liked the stock red spring part#0646-149 (74/228) (came in around 3800 and didn't trench) but figured was kinda worn after 12 years, so went to the dealer to get a fresh one. He didn't have the red,and I wanted to get it back together so I asked what he could give me to replace it, that would help not to trench in the deep, he suggested a yellow green spring, I know there were 2 of these, this is the part#0646-147 (114/267), it's the stock spring for an 01 800 Mtn. Cat, the problem is it comes in around 4500 ( on the stand), seems kinda high, haven't had time to test it yet, but was wondering if anyone else is coming in around this RPM, and if it's gonna be a trencher, maybe I should have ordered the red one!?!?!?!?!?

Can anyone tell me what springs they are using and what they are coming in at? If they trench etc. etc.?

OK rode the sled comes in too high, 4500 and hard, feels like it will trench. Maybe I should have stayed with the red one, anyone got an opinion, I know the 600's wanna come in around 4500, but with the 700 torque, I don't think you need it. Maybe something inbetween like 90/260 or 100/260, any reason the stock red is no good. Anyone??

Can anyone tell me if I went from the stock red 74/228 to a gold 75/275 would do, what difference would it make? I also found a Polaris Red/White 90/190, but don't know if the 190 is too low, and a Polaris Gold /Silver100/275. The yellow green at 114/ 267 is comimg in too high. The thing that sucks is it's raining here today and the snow is going fast !
