I have a 1998 summit X 670 that I am rebuilding the topend on.
Problem - I lost one of the PTO side needle bearings.
Question - Can I use a needle bearing from a 1996 wrist pin cage assembly in the 1998? Or maybe use the whole cage (on both wrist pins)?
The 1998 Summit X 670 has no cage, but separate needles (28 of them) with two keepers/spacers on each end. The 1996 summit 670 motor has plastic cages holding the pins together.
Second question - - should I put some Molykote 111 on the crank needle bearings while I got the top end off? Can I use some other kind of grease (since I don't have molykote) or 2 cycle oil on them?
