The boys were in Buff Pass the last few days. Running a couple sidekick 850s and a Boondocker ST 800.
They tested a few 850 setups. I’ll get the skinny tomorrow.

Here is the two setups they found worked the best with the Sidekick pump gas kit.
Primary:
140-330
70g TRS weights

Secondary:
125-175 Red/gray-silver
46-32F and 42-32F
With the stock Polaris belt.

pump gas turbo for 2019 859 Patriot?

My dealer told me that a Pump Gas Tune for a 2019 Patriot 850 Sidekick Turbo is not available yet. I need to continue to run 50/50 fuel.
Is that not the case and my dealer is behind?

Fueling: Ethanol vs Non-Ethanol/Premium setting

Ok thanks guys very good information and happy to hear pump gas tune is imminent.

Another question: What fuel setting should I run Ethanol or Non-Ethanol if I am using 50% premium 91 non-eth and 50% race gas 110?

Background:
Sled = 2019 Axys 850 BD Sidekick 155 - 3"
So I broke my 850 in real nice before I put turbo on (609 miles before turbo install) and I ran the fuel setting on Non-Ethanol/Premium for those first non-boosted 609 miles with no problems. Then they put turbo on and told me to run 50/50 (50% premium 91 non-eth and 50% race gas 110 - No problem im used to running race gas in stuff) and to change the fuel setting to the Ethanol setting. I did and sled ran awesome.

But what would happen if I put it back to Non-Ethanol?
And if I switched back to Non-Ethanol would I see even more performance gains?

Thanks

I talked to Erik (Vohk) last spring about this also, he said boosted sleds should always be in Ethanol mode.

While mine isn't an 850, but on attempting initial start up of my '16 800 with a 2019 Sidekick Switch, it flooded. then I remembered the PIDD defaults to eth mode when updated. Set gauge to 91 non-eth (Premium for the 2019s), dried out the plugs and cleared the cylinders of excess fuel. Installed plugs and after 3 pulls it start and has run great ever since.

FWIW, this is a copy/paste from the BD 850 High pressure install instructions:

Run your sled in “PREMIUM” mode. Switching to “ETHANOL” mode will make the vehicle run
Richer (approx. 7% richer). Some sleds/fuel may require “ETHANOL” mode for a richer running
condition. ONLY run “ETHANOL” mode if instructed.

Stupid edit isn't cooperating again.

Now, if a Vohk tuned sled requires it to be in eth mode fine. I have yet to have my '14 or '16 Pro-RMKs run good in eth mode.

TRS what rpm are your guys spinning the sidekick 850s?

How does the clutching compare to what you guys were spinning in the 800 sidekicks?

How do the sleds compare turbo d?

Thanks!

Jake, I don't know what TRS will tell you, but just for comparison if you hadn't heard yet, BD wants the 850 Patriot to spin 8650.

Is that a typo 8650. IMO running this motor at 8650 would be a death sentence.

NO, it's not a typo. Watch Burants vids. Catch a peek at the tach...you'll see it. Mine hits that and holds it well right there. It's quite lovely.
