Just had the new Re-flash done on my 2020 850.

I Did a data review of RPM and noticed at 33hrs total run time, only 7hrs were at 5-6k rpm
So the sled is actually still in its break in period ?? (10hrs above 5500 rpm)

Can anyone confirm this would be the case?

Yes. That is correct. The final break in step is a noticeable (2-300 rpm) jump in performance.

A lot of sleds for sale at 3-500 miles are STILL in break in mode. This is also why the break in rpm threshold was reduced From 5500 to 3500 rpm.

Thanks for confirming.
Explains a lot of the fouling issues we have been experiencing, thinking they were out of break in...
Have to be a pretty good rider to maintain >5500 RPM in the tight trees with stock clutching on east coast.
This change should make a big difference for us.

You should be out of break in. You have to add up all the hours that are above the 5500 rpm mark. You add up all your hours above that mark you should be just out of break in.

Yes you are correct. Thanks for noticing ...

However just out of break in....after 33hrs.

Surprisingly longer than you would think...
Cheers

with the new flash, will the computer recalculate the time the sled has run above 3500 rpm instead of 5500, and pull it out of break-in based on that?

So my 22 khaos feels like I'm not getting all the hp I'm at 130 miles on it. So os the reduction in rpms or power real that I feel just wondering

There is a very noticeable jump in horsepower when you get over the initial break in richness state, I'm guessing mine took about 6 hours of actual ride time. The additional time to complete the break in cycle is simply over oiling, which I found does not affect the overall performance at all.
