I have a 2002 800 XCR and I'm considering putting some V-Force 3 reeds in it. Are they worht the price? I have the same reeds in my 1998 700 XCR but they were in it when I bought it.
Will I be able to tell a power difference?
Thanks!

i put them in and noticed nothing. the sled already had such crisp throttle response that its to hard to tell any gains.

for the 350 dollars i think your money would go farther in a port job, carb bore, advance timing, drop heads and run stock pipes.

Not worth it on a stocker. If you go big on pipes, porting and carb-boring then yeah, follow up with reeds. V-force if you plan on spinning over 9K rpm.

Like highwayheavy said, use the money on a good port job!

Use 3 stock ones from a big block twin. I was told they perform just like the VF IIs. I ran them in mine with the stock XCR stuffers. Worked fine. Did a little "porting" on the stuffers to smooth out the edges.
