I have a 9R 165 ordered and I will be swapping the track to a 162 3.0 PC. I am having a tough time deciding which driver to get, Avid 7 or 8 tooth. What are your opinions?

7 is a great choice. Lower gear ratio is delicious. More snappy, less belt heat. Maybe throw this anti stab on. Kinda like a pay now or pay later type deal.

You have to run 7T 3P. With those and a 3" track you dont have much clearance at the pinch point up top. with 8T 3P the track would be wedged into the tunnel.
