Just looking at inline trailers. Trying to decide which one to buy. Do they pull the same? I had a 8.5 wide trailer i sold, thought it pull like a tank.

I just bought a 7.5' wide by 23'. It pulls easily behind my F150. I like the idea of having just a bit more room to step around the sleds in the trailer.
i am in the same boat. i have a dealer with a couple mission trailers, one 7' and one 7.5' and both being 29' (including the v-nose), which is the length i want. just trying to justify that if the 6" is worth the extra $1800.
That extra 6" would make a 5th sled fit nicely
that is my whole question that i have not decided on. 75% of the time its 4 sleds but do haul that 5th sled now and then.

I have had two 7' wide trailers now and wish everytime I load up that it was 7'6". $1800 seems like a pretty steep jump for a little extra width, but I think you would say it's worth it everytime you loaded 4 sleds and especially 5. I put 5 in my 7x29 and it's tight. Tight enough that every time we try and put 5 in we load three and then scratch our heads trying to figure out how we did it the last time.
how do you load 5 in your 7x29?

Our last trip we had 2 M8000 153's, 1 Assault 155, 1 Pro 155, and 1 High Country 141. We load one forward and one backward in the rear so they are basically side x side. Then drive the next two in from the front facing rear, then drag the last one in backwards so the tunnel goes in between the tunnels of the other two. Depending on the sled mix we may need to put the spare tire under the track of one to lift the back end up over the hood of another. Did not have to pull any skis with this setup.

We will have 2-Pro's 155", 1 Axys 155", and two new 800 Cat's that are I believe 153"? It's not the longest one. I thought about five in the trailer or four and one in the pickup. Just haven't experimented with it.
So are you going to spend another $1800 to pull another persons sled 25% of the time? Not being a smart aass but I wonder myself why I buy a crew cab and a four place to haul other peoples sleds halfway across the country. But that's me, buy high sell low.
I agree. It is about spending time with people you care about and the passion we have for the sport. But for me there is more to it than that. Truck, trailer, insurance, license, wear and tear, and drive 1200 miles one way to ride with people that won't lift a finger to help out with planning a trip. I have to borrow beacons and probes from other friends to give to them and beg them to attend free avy classes with me. It's getting old. If it was not for my son going with and helping me out I would probably be done. I apologize for the rant and I am sure I am out of line. :face-icon-small-hap
i've got a 7.5 ft wide trailer 29 ft long. can pretty easily fit 5 in. after having a wider trailer i would never go to a 7 footer again.
I have a 7x29' I just bought last year. If I buy another one it will be 7.5 wide. I had an 8.5x25' before and it was definitely easier to fit five long tracks in it than the new 7'. We take five on most trips whether we bring an extra sled or fifth guy, and if you don't ride from a cabin, meaning loading and unloading at a parking lot everyday it kinda sucks. Love the trailer otherwise, it took probably ten tries moving sleds in and out, rearranging before we got it to work with five.
We fit 4 155's in a 7' by 23' trailer. 20 foot box, 3 foot V. I know it sounds crazy, but all you have to do is put the skis up on 3 foot blocks. then you can slide the tunnels of the other sleds under the sled on blocks. I'll get a picture next time we have it loaded up. It's very tight, but it get's the job done.

What is the real benefit to a 7'5" vs 7' wide trailer? I am looking at a 7.5 x 27 or 29 with 6" extra height. Any recommendations? Live in CO, so I'm not driving half way across America. LOL.

The better question would be.... Is it better to add the 2' lenght to the 7' trailer or the 1/2' width to the 27' trailer?
7.5. I had a 7 wide next 1 will be 7.5. I also have a 8.5 wide but would like a little narrower trailer that you can fit 2 sleds in side by side.
