54 / 66 gears ....clutching?

Ok. did a search and nothing turned up. Im installing 54 / 66 gears in my 08 M1000 with a 162. Speedwerx pipe and y pipe with boondocker. Ive got the fuel dialed right in. My current gears are 57 / 63, I run normally 7000 feet. I weigh about 200 lbs with gear. What are you guys running for weights with these gears 54 /66`s. At the moment im running 80 gr. (factory weights) at 7000 feet and achieving 7500 rpm. Torsional secondary with straight 36.

Im thinking I need about 82 grams of weight or go up to about a straight 38 or 40.

Ya that sounds about right! I am running 56/64 with speedwerx exhaust and a ported motor and a head and I run 82 grams of weight with a 40/36 compression helix at about 7700 rpms! thats at 10,000ft

Did you change gearing before or after engine mods? Did u notice improvement with track speed while climbing. Seat of the pants feeling?

Radium at 9000 feet 80 gr. weights. straight 40 helix green sno pro spring torsional secondary. 7600 all day long.
