38" front end.

Hi, trying to part out a new front end for my 2012 XF 800. The current stance is 42", trying to find parts for 38". I'm also looking for the AMS style geometry (27 degree castor). Do i really need the new spindle to achive this. Or can i use the older style spindle with 38" lower a-arms and the never style upper a-arm?

I wouldn't try without the newer spindle. The angles on the bottom won't hold the ski rubber at the right angle.
