270 Win or 308 Win????????????

I am trying to decide which gun i want to buy. Which one do you think is the better all around gun? I would make a poll but not sure how.

longer " reach " if you will, you may loose a quarter but youll never loose an animal.

what does the mil shoot in all there snipers?? i know people arent deer, but seems like if its what they rock in there guns, i might check it out.

if they diddnt kick so much id say get a .300 win mag

i love my H&H (pre '64 model 70, with a 2 inch longer barrel and a 3x9 leuopold vari7 scope

.308 is way overrated, go with the .270.

It's held up over time and shoots very flat for not being a magnum. Shoot good bullets and it's fine for animals as large as elk. My .02

If you aren't a guy that likes to shoot magnums, get a .30-06. I wouldn't have a 270 OR a .308 in the house, and guns are my second passion. Both of them are overrated and underpowered in my opinion.

I wouldn't waste money on a .308.

I bought a Ruger 30.06 last year and was looking at the .270.

What I REALLY wanted though and if I could do it over again, I would buy a .270WSM. Now that is a badass gun!

I would skip the .270 and 30.06 and .308 and a 300WM and just look at getting a .270WSM
