2024 Freeride 146 Ride and Impression

Norona.. What benefits are there with the 15” track when everything is still on a 16” tunnel? Curious of the pros/cons. I love my 146 Freeride aftermarket turbo. It has the factory 2.5” lug 16” track. Give me reasons to upgrade.

You get the benefit of ease of getting on edge in a solid track and suspension. You lose a little tractio n compared to 16 wide. The expert has to go to a 2 inch narrower front end to try to compensate for wider track and not sure it quite gets there compared to a 15 wide and 36 front end. It's close. 15 wide probably equals t motion and flex edge in a 16 wide.

Did Doo fix the chain case issues for the 2024s yet?
This seems to be a hold up for many that want to order '24s. It would be best for BRP to address this sooner than later. I know I'm waiting to call my dealer to snow check TWO sleds until I know this has been addressed. If I hear nothing, I buy nothing (or another brand).

Norona, this would be great for BRP to come out and answer this massive question, any insight would be much appreciated
He isn't going to wade into this. Everyone will be bitchy so why would he? Not his job. I don't believe they will admit to anything. It will just magically go away for 24.
Norona is an ambassador. His job is push the positive. Pipe dream if you think he is coming on here.

This is no longer for dave norona . We should keep the chain case issues in the one section no need of cluttering up all these with same stuff . I do love this 146 free ride would love to try one out .

why doesn't brp put out a survey asking us what colors we want instead of hoping we like it?
maybe brp doesn't realize or care about how much drama color choice causes. who knows. also, there'd never be a consensus on color choice.

Don’t like the color? Be the pouty fuggin baby you’re being and buy something else ?
I get it. Kindof like when i bought a hot tub years ago. They brought a grey one and installed it and i ordered brown. Told her it wasn't the end of the world but when paying that much you should get what you want. They brought the right one. This is where polaris kills it. You have choices and they are making money on them. Still, if they don't have what you want, wrap it. Color is at the bottom of my list.

Different, you ordered it one way and it came another... that's worth a fuss.

I'll admit, the freeride should probably be offered in black as well... but man it gets annoying when people complain about a sled not coming in their favorite color every year. They can't make EVERY pouty middle aged man on SnoWest happy EVERY year. Get over yourself. I just really don't friggin care what color it is... if it's a color I like that's a bonus, if not, whatever, it's got no effect on how the sled performs.

Polaris does a great job with options... but I would rather see 2-3 options built quicker (earlier delivery), at a lower price point.

i think many don't realize that multiple color choices increases cost which in turn would of course, cause more complaints.

I’ve always loved the ride a feeeride provided it’s the ultimate sled for my style of riding. But ive never owned one because of the colours they come in only 2 years I liked was 19 -23 just made me pick something else in the lineup and turn it into a freeride with pro 40s some guys like flashy colours I like black it would be nice to pick colours on every sled but not a deal breaker.

Dealers are selling out of snow checks and we are a week in. But you hold your 40k ransom to a company that saw 2.4 Billion in revenue last year in a 6 month term[emoji23]I’m sure you have them trembling at the knees [emoji1787]
