“Up to” ... I have seen nowhere that says 4yr standard warranty.

If I do decide to buy I’ll definitely grab another year to make it 3 years. I don’t keep a sled for more than 2 years at the most. It’s hard to move something in this price point, especially a turbo with any warranty.

Not misleading at all. It clearly says “up to 4 years warranty”. It never said “4 year warranty on the turbo model”.

Talking about warranties, I did the spring order last year to get the 2020 freeride I have now. So it came with a "4yr" warranty. Well, the first year of warranty was from the day I got the sled to the end of the year, so from October until December 2019. This is the first spring order I've done in a long time and maybe they are all that way, I don't remember but so a 2yr warranty on the turbo, really will last from October 2020 and end on January 1st 2022. Right? So really 1 season and a half depending on snowfall. Yeah, I would wait for a "4yr" warranty also.

Who says the warranty year ends December 31?

You're right looking at the email I got again. It says I have B.E.S.T starting Dec. 1st 2020 and ends Nov. 30 2023, so I'm on BRP until Dec. this year. Ok, my bad, sorry everyone.

Was just looking at the Backcountry Sport. From the pictures, I can tell it's throttle body injected with reeds but no exhaust valves. Why they couldn't get closer to 100HP out of it is beyond me: the old Poo/Fuji 500 EFI was around 70 with piston ports, which extrapolates to 86HP at 600cc. So that's disappointing. Also, comes standard with electric start? If it's as easy as my 600 to start, you don't need it. And the Cobra 146x1.6 is the biggest track. Compare that with the old Summit Sport: 20lb lighter, 146x2.25 track, and 30 more HP. It's not injected, and the older XP chassis, but anyone going into deep snow would choose it any day. Even with 85HP, Doo could have made a Summit Sport with the 146/2.25 track, electric start optional. I guess the plusses are it should be easy on gas and oil (no reason to run synthetic) and run forever. Seems they aimed squarely at fleet buyers, just too bad to see the one decent mountain sled for <$10k disappear.
