Any chance someone could take a pic of the backside where the strap is, basically just a pic from inside the cover for strap area. I see a few different ways the strap can be inserted but neither of them actually does very good job of cinching they cover tight to sled for me.
Thanks

Thumper if you look closely the piece that clips to the running boards also goes into a slot on the back of the plastic ratchet assembly making it one piece basically , if it's left so it is separate it doesn't cinch down good at all , think when you release the ratchet you are suppose to pull those apart don't have a pic sleds not covered but will get one if ya need it ?? Hope this helps

Arcticridr, here’s some pics of what I’ve done. I’ve looped it through the one hole in end at top then through the ratchet. It’s like it has playtex maxi pad wings,,,,,, can cinch it tight this way though, but I worry about the stitching as it pulls the cover at 180 from the stitches, which will rip I’m sure. My buddy’s ripped 3 of the 4 ratchets right off. Not to mention the elastic at bottom can’t even stretch and hold anything, just free floats.

You’ll see another pic where I have a finger poking through the lower hole. Tried inserting strap through that one first then up into top hole then through ratchet. This way you don’t get much cinch happening, can barely ratchet, and it also puts a lot of pressure on those threads. Also the elastic is then trapped under the hook so again useless.

Is one of these the right way or have I got this all wrong? For $360 was hoping for a little finer system.

The little “T” tab on the back of the hook needs to go into the slot on the back of the plastic piece that is sewed into the cover.

HAAAAAA!!! I KNEW that tab had to go somewhere. Thanks!! What’s funny is I was doing what the dealer did with my buddies cover that ripped so figured it had to be correct, but just didn’t seem to work good to me.

Took me a bit to figure it out last year. It’s not a bad concept but they didn’t leave enough length to fit over my E-start seat and hook the running boards without laying on the seat and squishing it down.
