The 2019 thread is 2000 posts long, so maybe a new thread for issues experienced on the 2020 850's? It's always helpful to track any trends and what others may be seeing, as well as have an idea of some things to look for.

One of our 2020's didn't make it off the pallet. Wouldn't fire up at all and seemingly bad fuel pump. Fuel pump assembly replaced and it runs. Polaris shipped the fuel pump overnight and got us running quickly, even though it was pre-season.

Hopefully the thread ends right here for all us 2020 guys haha. But this is a good idea. Let's hear some 2020 850 early season reviews so far. PUMPED to try my RMK coming from a 2017.

I put in another post before seeing this one, I have a friend that just brought home a 2020 850 , he tried running it on a stand and it will not rev up over 6500 rpm without getting a bad bog, if he brings it real slow then it seems ok but when he try's to pin it, it dose a serious bog, he brings it up to where the clutch is engaged then try's to give it a rip . same thing all the time ?????

It is doing as it should, its sensing an over rev (rpm in relation to throttle position) due to no load on the track. Tell your friend to stop doing that and just go ride it. Make sure it is through breakin before worrying about any minor bobbles or bugs. He is not doing the engine or machine any favors by doing what he is doing.

Doing this on a trackstand is not recommended. Won't tell you anything without a load, it will hit the rev limiter whether you see it or not, doing nothing good for new bearings, and tracks have been spit out the back and jammed in the tunnel. really. Don't be that guy.

Not starting off to good. I’m guessing someone on assembly line dropped ECU and decided to install anyway. Doesn’t run real great when harness connector is broken off ECU......yes it's getting covered by Polaris!(y)

I looked all over and nothing.. now today pops right up

Definitely not a good idea to put a new sled on a stand and pin the throttle!! Or even start it without riding. They need some sort of load or the break in will be more of a wear in !! And Idling adds wear without oil to flush out micro shavings.

So I have a 2020 sba 850. Got about 20 miles on it if that. Noticed there was burnt oil in the belly pan. Took a pic and called the dealer. Said oh it's just the exhaust donut. Didnt seal. I was thinking theres no way a new sled should be leaking oil. So I decided to take it apart and lo and behold. Theres a pin hole in the y pipe coming off the engine. Best part is theres a 3 week wait minimum to get sled in and if they can even get the part yet. Pics are included.

I wouldn't be missing days riding at all while they get parts with just that. But yes the donuts do leak, mine hasent left garage yet and oil drips in the belly till u get that donut very hot. Just runner till they have the part

Sounds good bud. Thanks. I wish it was just the donut but it is the pipe. Just disappointed I suppose on a new sled with a defect. Running it shouldn't be a problem though eh?
