Drop 300 RPM from top end of range 7700? Why?xs821 or the 571 nothing else...You will have to adjust for the xs821 most likely...drop about 300rpm on most sleds
Because the XS821 is slightly shorter, and I believe slightly wider as well. And what sled has a top end of 7,700?Drop 300 RPM from top end of range 7700? Why?
Thank you for the info. I try to keep max RPM of our sleds around 7900 to 8000 ... shkidoo 850.Because the XS821 is slightly shorter, and I believe slightly wider as well. And what sled has a top end of 7,700?
I bet many people using aftermarket belts don’t consider that they need to be adjusted slightly differently and “what the manual says” no longer applies. Adjust for creep with any belt and that issue goes away.
I’ve used the Gates carbon belt as well and wasn’t as impressed by it on my 850 as I was the XS821. I did have good luck with it on my 800, though. Gates recently released a new “RedLine” belt for the 850, and I believe they went back to aramid (Kevlar) vs carbon.
For the record, I did not make any major adjustments after installing the XS821 on my 850; just deflection, and it seems just fine.
Well, I read that to mean that - doo to the difference in width, it will likely have you running 300 rpm lower if not re-adjusted.Thank you for the info. I try to keep max RPM of our sleds around 7900 to 8000 ... shkidoo 850.
Going to the X821 some one wrote here to set up 300 lower RPM so thought lower top end RPM?
