2019 800 differences vs 850

I'm easily confused. I see some say the 2019 800 has the sealed connectors/better wiring and some say no. some say better engine mounts/ some say no, only the 850's. I think I'm going to get a newer 800 (I have a 2016 turbo, sold a 2017, and have a 2018 (slp pipe)) just trying to decide if I want the 2019 or another 2018. I do know I love the sled and prefer it to the 850 doo and 800 alpha. Will likely drop a turbo on it and ride it for 3-4 years so $2000 isn't that much of a difference if it is better.

Wondering exactly what the difference is between a 2018 800 vs 2019 800. I know the narrow arms - which is awesome, but I can do an Alternate impact kit for $600 and love it. Wondering about the rest of the stuff.

Thanks

The 2019 800 is the same as the 2018 800 except BNG.

The 850 got all the updates.

Wrong.

For starters the 2019s got the 36" React Front end, and i believe the track is clipped under the lugs. Beyond those improvements, you'll have to wait on the experts for any other refinements that I can't remember.

As indy_500 said, track is clipped under the lugs, 36" front end and I was told the upgraded wire harness/relays etc. I will look further into it tonight when I pick up the 2019, 800 demo sled.

Can you see if engine mounts look the same? Wiring harness would be a big plus.

I was partially right and wrong. I just checked the parts listing for both 18 & 19 Pro-RMK 800HO.

2019s got the new a-arms/spindles

2019s still have the same motor mounts and main wiring harness part numbers as the 2018. Stop and think for a minute, why would Poo go through a very costly redesign on the 800HO crankcase to use the same motor mounts as the 850 engine???? That would be totally asinine.

As for tracks:
Pro-RMK 163 2.6" & 3" tracks for 18 & 19 have the same part number
SKS 155, 2.6 different track part numbers for 18 & 19.

The 850 SKS 155 I saw was fully clipped.

Pro-RMK 155 2.6 18 & 19 same part numbers.

One thing to keep in mind about the react front end is the totally different spindle design. Personally I think the handling of that from ends is night and day to a normal front end even one that’s been narrowed. The angle of the spindle does make a pretty significant difference.

There is a reason a lot of company’s offer different spindles.

But you can’t go wrong with an 18.... awesome sled.

I've been told the geometry of the 2019 spindle is the same as the the 2016-2018?
The geometry is the same on the spindle but the new react a arms are brought out forward, not just inward/narrower to keep the length between lets say the rear axle and the ski mount bolt the same as the 39" axys. Think of it as a right angled triangle. The longest side, aka the hypotenuse, needed to stay the same length when the a arms went narrower. If you shorten up the short side of a right triangle, aka the a arms, your long side, the hypotenuse will decrease therefore to keep it the same the arms also have to go forward when they go narrower. This is why everyone was in love with the handling of the skinz 36" front end because it brought the skis forward because the arms not only went in but they went forward. I cant say for sure whether or not companies narrow front ends such as zbroz, raptor, kmod, alternative impact, etc. Have any geometry change to accommodate for this but i don't believe they do. I do in fact have a 37" raptor kit on my 16 axys, and i do know geometry change or not it handles a hell of a lot better than stock width.
