Ride Report 3/14/20 Cloverland... HAD NO PLANS to go riding... grand kid said PLEASE!!!! Didn't get to the mountains until Noon... road is plowed and so is the park... not a lot of snow. Trails are okay, mostly groomed. Snow was rock hard and had challenges keeping the sled cool enough to run... then it started to snow...hard... above 6,000 feet elevation and we probably gained 4 to 5 inches of new. About 6 3/4 feet at the marker... GREAT DAY spending it with the granddaughter!

I was invited to lead a group of younger, inexperienced riders, with the plan of riding the Sky Line Road to Oregon. Weather was great! What you can't see here is their nervous faces and I think I heard one crying (I'm sure it was one of the Cat guys)

I broke trail and then came back to photo the rookies as they drove by...

Road was gone so I led the group down into this bowl and towed the two Cat guys up the other side with ROTAX power!

Made it to the look out... weather rolling in

I wanted to continue at this point but the Cat guys started to cry and I'm pretty sure one wet his pants a little. There was then racism as they complained about following Canadian sleds...

and that's my story and I'm, um, er... sticking to it :ROFLMAO:

Thanks guys for letting me tag along... you whipped me good! Thanks CB8 for the rescue!

Had a nice ride on Sunday with some buds. One said if we let him lead us to Tollgate he would buy us lunch. With an offer like that off we went and kept him on the straight and narrow. He had some doubts but we encouraged him to keep going. He had us run right down the "face".20200317_202816.jpg20200317_195239.jpg20200317_203345.jpg20200317_203246.jpg Finally it got too foggy to see if there was a lip on the edge of the road or if it was drifted in like the side of the mountain. He finally said he didn't want to hurt the young fellows so he said to turn around and head to Godman and we could raid CB8's hotdogger and eat the Brats warming in it. It was a good day once we got away from the fog on that side of the mountain. Always fun riding with you Mike. That's my story.

And just like that it is the end of the season. Kind of like the hawk swooping in and grabbing the rabbit out of the snow.

Had to give it a push and roll it off me and on down the hill. Darn handlebar bag and tethers.

Glad to see the snow set up some so you could get someplace in it. Here was my view of the mountains last Saturday from my Mountain Cat. 20200404_162701.jpg

Went to Priest for our anniversary. Stayed at Indian Creek last night so we didn’t get stranded on the mountain. The wife got some great footage of the light show. These three photos were all less than two seconds apart. 0E0D17D6-A0A2-48C8-BA78-A8A216FA5FAE.pngC85D0CE3-CE35-418B-B991-B47E18158C81.png59E91275-D71F-4E4A-A5BA-75D4CCFC7AFC.png
