Thanks everyone for the help. Changed the belt and up and running. Snowing hard again by the time we got to the snopark. 20200117_122116.jpg

Anyone out there want to show a 61 year old around the Tolgate area? New to the area, Kennewick, and looking for people to go riding with. I have shovel, probe, and beacon. 2013 Pro with 163. I’ve been riding for 25 years. Retiring in a few weeks so mid week rides work as well.

I know several that ride at Tollgate. I'm not sure when I am actually going to ride there again but heading up to move snow tomorrow. Check in at the Alpine Outpost and retired person Cecil up there leaves the store daily at 9 am he says and willing to ride with anyone. He is the one watching the trails so travels the whole system. Let me know if you get connected up with anyone but I don't get to ride weekdays too much except when chasing broken down equipment.

Thanks. I’ll do that.

Rode up Cloverland Road. The road is frozen so no mud. We turned around at Parson's Road and just played on the county road as I am trying to tune up a vintage sled for vintage racing. Anyway people are parking where the sign says no winter maintenance. Wind was drifting in the road pretty good. Some dork parked his Gray Ford Pickup in the turn around spot making it near impossible for others turn around... Did not ride any further.

Picked up a 91 Yamaha Phazer II for grand kids also was out working on this sled... I forgot how much fun they are!!

1/20/20 Ride Report: Rode out of Rose Spring, road and parking lot were plowed. The trails are okay, a lot of drifting and suspect they might groom tomorrow.

Special thanks to CB 8 and family for a GREAT DAY!

Pic 1: I brought along a 16 year old grand-daughter...
Pic 2: Note the two feet on one side as she uses all of her buck fifteen to change course
Pic 3: CB8
Pic 4: I have NO IDEA how this happened! (No trees were damaged)
Pic 5: Part of the group

Rode out Dayton today.....had most of mountain to ourselves. Rode to cabin, had a burger, played out towards Teepee, even found a couple pockets of untouched powder.

Thought we would take 700 trail to parking lot, wow it was rough way to end day.

Lost and found.....somewhere my shovel handle (HMK L handle) slipped out of my tunnel bag. If someone finds it, let me know.

The 700 trail is a pain. It is a one way trip down with the groomer and has to be deep enough at the bottom with the water bars for the groomer to get across without breaking cleats. All the snow just came and hasn't settled so the groomer can't make some of the switchbacks yet. Bluewood is the groomer this year and the one supposed to be grooming our trails is down so they are using bigger groomers on our trails and may be too big to even physically fit down the 700 trail. 20200117_140623.jpg

Cecil is quite a character. You just never know where he will be. When we left at 8 am to ride across the mountain to Godman he had been out to the Bone Springs shelter to start the fire and was back by 7:30 am. Glad you had a good ride with him.

Someone says they found something on the Blue Mountain Snowmobile Club's Facebook page asking to identify. I don't know what they found.

KLEW TV Lewiston is reporting two snowmobilers were rescued this past Friday?? Do not find anything on the Web...
Maybe it was CB.8 and I. Seems like we always need to be rescued and we were on the mountain Friday. You saw it on the web here first. Pictures....20200117_123545.jpg20200117_115959.jpg

Due to forecasted high winds the Pomeroy Bucket Run for this Saturday, Feb. 1 has been CANCELLED.

The Blue Mt. Club is planning the next weekend Saturday, February 8 to have a Funday for young and old alike with a few games to be played up on top for a little get together. The club will be cooking burgers at Godman that Blew Bayou signed up for and hopefully CB.8 can help him.
