2017 RMK Assault Track Swap Question

Looking for confirmation on a track swap I'm going to be helping my cousin with. Sled is a 2017 RMK Assault with a 15 x 155 x 2.25 in Peak track, due to a shock failure the track is junk. He would like to replace it with a 2.6 track. Is this a direct swap or is a driver change required? He is also going to do a TKI belt drive set up on the sled.

From what I can figure it should be just a track swap but looking for some confirmation on that.

I swapped a 2.25 and a 2.6 on my 17 tank assault no problems. The 3” requires different drivers. 2.6 is way better for pow than 2.25

That's what I was thinking. The 2.25 and 2.6 would be the same but the 3" requires different drivers. He'd like a Khaos but its not in the budget being he's fresh out of college with a house payment. Figured we make this one better for powder being it needs a track replacement.

Also drilling out and moving front track shock makes its more pow friendly and less trenching
