The snows coming in for the new year. We got at least 15 inches here at the house out of the storm so far. Dylan is out grooming said there's 3 foot snowdrifts. There's snow all the way to the parking lot. Our trucks are all out in the parking lot. I'm sure they're closed the road soon. My Internet is running too slow to put up pics. Hopefully in a couple days it'll work again.

More like 6 feet at the house now. I came home on the snowmobile last night at 8:30 I was glad to see that he did some grooming. He groomed all the way up Meadowlake Road. Suns peeking out today looks like writing is going to be awesome.

For the first time in 11 years 2006, the*floodgates of the Sacramento River were opened Monday morning, releasing a wall of water downstream into the Yolo Bypass, one of several drainage areas designed to catch floodwater. The National Weather Service warned farmers in that region to move farming equipment and livestock out of the way

Storms have added 33.6 billion gallons of water to Lake Tahoe since Jan. 1 2017

Suppose to storm till Wednesday and have flurries Thursday the 12th At least a couple more feet at 8000 feet and many places lower to around 6000 feet by end of Thursday.

Blue sky riding Friday the 13th below freezing all day up to 31F most of Sierras at 8000 feet.

Starting Saturday the 14th lows in the 20's and highs in the high 30's and 40's for at least Thursday 19 January at 8000 feet.

Next storm 50% chance 19 Thursday to Sat 21st temps 25F-40F at 8000 feet Few inches rain OR few feet snow probably a mixture of both. Storm warm at first.

We had another foot and a half last night. Matt groomed the 07 road from the parking lot to my house last night. He also said he had to do avalanche control on the 07 Road. We've been here since last Friday. I'm trying to get to the parking lot today. It's deep out there. If your Brave enough to come out be careful.

We rode yesterday. Snows awesome. You can stay on top if your on your game. Make a mistake and your digging. LTS parking lot is all plowed out. The grooming is going slow. All the Meadows are full of water. Got one of the snowcats stuck last night in a creek. They got it out. Should be an awesome weekend. Be careful out there high avalanche danger.

We got 2 feet out of the storm last night and yesterday here at the house. We got about 8 inches in the parking. This makes the best coverage for January in many years. Everywhere is getting filled in nicely.

We got another 18 inches last night and today. My house would be buried without the groomer. Matt and Dillon have been out there working hard with all the snow. It's looking awesome out there right now.

Thanks- great to watch your updates, our cabin is by Cold Stream near Mt. Lola trailhead. We'll be up to check on it (if we can find it buried in the snow!)

I'm thankful I have a neighbor with a snow cat. He single and loves Mary's cooking. Suns coming out now all I needs a riding partner. Haven't seen one sled down the 07 road yet today.
