I'm looking at a 2016 800 E-tech 154 for a spare machine. The owner had a little crash, and his knee put a rather smooth dent in the top of the H/E. He is apparently not having any over-heating issues. However, being anal as I am, if I was to buy this sled, I would eventually replace the H/E.
Questions:
Would this be a fairly easy and simple replacement?
Could it be done without removing the track?

Thank you in advance

It’s not that hard, just drop and pull out the rear suspension to make it easy to grind the rivots from underneath. I can’t remember if I had to pull the track too, but pretty sure I didn’t. Just use a good stainless rivots when Putting the new one on.
