2015 Viper MTX Sno-check prices

I was just starting the same thought, we only got a few Yami dealers in state and they don't deal. Maybe an out of state deal. Federal Way Yamaha crapped out, and it was 6 miles away. Chit they don't even ride or let you ride a test sled anywhere near here. I used to get all my parts for bikes and sleds in the same place. My only bitch about Yamaha is no test ride in WA, :face-icon-small-coobut I guess I'll be sitting on it April 2!

you could always pop up to yamafest in revy they will have test rides there.

What's the going rate to install the factory turbo? I believe I heard that if you want the warranty you have to have it installed by the dealer. That $2000 price on snowcheck to get the turbo is a heck of a deal. I'm just curious if they charge another $2000 to install it.

The install on my Nytro snow check MPI turbo in the fall of 2011 was ~$400 if I remember right (I had some other stuff done too, so I am making a guess). The Viper kit should be an easier install from what I understand.

If dealers work that install in for free (or even as cheap as $400) that would be a smoking deal with the $2k turbo. I wish I could ride that sled in the trees with some powder. That's the bad part of spring snowcheck rides. We just don't get good enough riding. That blue/white sled is great looking.

I have both 2014 M8 ltd and a Viper converted to MTX and they are very close to each other in handling. The big diff is the instant torque in the Viper vs stronger mid range and top in M8. The gas tank under the seat seems to make the additional 22 lbs on the front balance out, so if you ride a 2014 Cat (not 2013 or 2012) you will get a real feel for it.

And of course you are welcome to see ours but as it is the girlfriends rides are out.....she would kill me!

turbo price after snow check is done?

like the tittle says what will the turbo kit cost in the fall? the mpi site leaves a lot to be desired.

So NOBODY here has a price for one of these new sleds from a dealer yet? I see prices on all the other brands sno check models....

I understand why nobody would want to post them though, $16k otd is tough to stomach when the competition all come in for thousands less.

2015 Viper MTX 162" track with MPI turbo installed and clutched with 5 year warranty $14,800 out the door.

2015 Pro terrain domination 163" track clutched with 3 year warranty $13,850 out the door.

For about $1,000 you get 2 more years of warranty and 180 HP at elevation vs 145 HP at sea level. Don't seem like they are priced too far outta the game to me!! And I don't wanna hear this crap like "well you still ridding an over weight pig" or "I'll take the light weight "flickable" over HP any day" argument just because somebody wants to try the new Yamaha. This "Flickable" thing Polaris keeps rambling on about is the most over ratted thing I have ever heard!! And I am a Polaris rider!! Even if you say the Pro 163" dry weight is 425ish lbs and put out 145ish HP that's roughly 3 HP per pound of sled. Take the viper 162" and lets call it 600ish lbs dry weight, nobody seems to have an exact number, and give it 180HP that's roughly 3.3 HP per lb of weight. And these are numbers that we assume the Polaris will have at sea level. Guess what happens when we get to the high country!! Bottom line don't be hatting on guys because they like or want something different then you. This is like an argument over whose wife or girl friend is better looking!! Sorry for rambling and getting off track but I am just tired of reading this OuraySledder dude having nothing good to say about anything but Polaris!! Open your damn eyes man!!

Actually 12,500.00 quoted to me. 2k more for a Turbo. That 16k you quoted is for a Poo and all the parts to keep it running for a season. Yamahas don't blow motors so the total cost is lower, sad I have to explain this to you.

why are none of the viper turbo kits/parts on the website?
This kit is only sold to Yamaha. We have been selling the Stage 1 intercooled kit all year for $4595.00.

You guys are right the MPI website sucks! We to day have spent a lot of money on multiple companies that promised a lot and we still have nothing. I hope you guys understand that we are working are butts off on making the best products that we can. This is a big deal for us next year and currently its more important to refine and prefect what we're going to be selling next year while we still have a little snow. Please stay tuned for a completely redesigned website. If you have any questions call me anytime. If you can’t call during our business hours send me a message with your phone number and the best time to call. I will call anytime you want.
