2014 SnoPro - chain case vent?

I picked up a 2014 M8 for my son to ride and the only thing the guy said I might want to fix was the "chain case vent" He said it leaks a little bit of oil if rolled over on the right side and left too long. He showed me the part that fell off, but I'm unsure of how to fix it.

He said he rode it most of the winter like that, just made sure not to leave it rolled over for too long. I just don't like the idea of leaking oil at all.

Is this something I need to fix? If so, how hard is the fix?

(New to snowmobile maintenance, but not maintenance in general)

Thanks in advance

So did the steel nipple fall out of the top of the chain case above the jackshaft? For that to come out I'm guessing it doesn't fit tight in the magnesium housing. I'd just clean it up good and glue it back in the case with some silicone. I can't remember off the top of my head which direction it's supposed to be orientated...maybe toward the clutches?

yes, it fell out on top then out of his sled and he found it in the snow.

I'll order the new part and take a look.

Thanks
