2013 xm summit 2 up with kid???

Anyone whose sat on the new xm can you take along your kid on that small seat or would that be impossible. I'm tallking a 4'6" 10 year old for backcountry trail rides not mountain riding. thanks for your help.

I would think a longer seat might be better. There should be many seat options.

bolt a lawn chair on the tunnel behind the seat it'll be fine...

Ya but that would add weight!!! I dont mind hugging the tank for our rides together but would hate to spend 500 bucks for a longer seat on a brand new sled for the occasional double ride.

I have rode the xm and I take my girlfriend riding double once in a while, she is 5ft 3" and I am 5ft 9". I always put her in front of me when we ride and she hangs on to the mountain bar instead of me. That way I can still move around and jump form side to side. The seat is short and I would for see you slipping off the back if you were both trying to sit on it but the only time you would want to sit down would be on the road which is hopefully never. It wouldn't stop me from riding double I like to stand most of the time any way. But if you both want to sit down I would suggest getting a different seat.

Find a used xp seat, i think they will fit. New is about $300.

Not sure if they would be the same but on my 10 i put the skidoo 2 up seat on there. It gives them a back rest and handles to hold onto. But it did cost me 600 installed. But it is a quick tatch(sp). takes less than 15 seconds to take off and put back on. So when we get some where that I want to play I take the backrest off and go play and when done put back on and away we go.

the rep said the new seat will fit on the older xp ,so it should work the other way around

looks like they are interchangeable rode with demo ride on friday at eagles 3 ft of fresh they had the new seats on a few 12's looks the same ,got to burn a tank of gas through the new xm,wow ,we had 6 13's,4 12's,what a difference,we switched back and forth,u could really see the difference,thinking snow check now
