2011 M8 Do i run it or fix it?

Hey all. I just picked up a 2011 M8 LTD thats is decent shape. Don't know the miles cuz the cluster was intermittent and removed. Guy said it ran but was real surgy, wouldn't run full throttle etc. Before i tried anything i pulled the air box. Full of mouse nest. Pulled the throttle bodies and found a handful of nest material, mostly hair and such, sucked into the reeds. That could be the whole problem. I pulled the reed cages and can see some material in the crank case. There isn't alot, maybe a half a teabag full of fuzz and hair in there. I did get some out, but do i pull the jugs or just run it and hope it blows, and burns out.

Well if your options are to run it or pull the jugs, may as well run it. If it works out, then you're golden. If it doesn't work out, you're right back to square 1 and pulling the jugs.

I'm no expert though.

I would be worried about any dirt in the mouse nest getting in the bearings. I would put a shop vac where the reeds mount pull the plugs and rotate the engine over. Maybe blow air in through the spark plug hole or exhaust port while rocking the crankshaft back and forth either side of bottom dead center.
