2007 M8 Head torque specs and ring gap???

I'm rebuilding the top end on my wife's M8 and don't have the torque specs for the head and also the correct ring gap for the piston rings. Does anyone know the correct specs?

ring gap .0120''-.0196''

there will be an "R" stamped on the ring by the gap. The "R" goes up, torward the top of the piston.

The dot on the top of the piston goes torward the intake/exhaust ports/torwards the front of the sled.



I can get the head torque specs and torque order tomarrow, but someone will probably post it before that.

25 ft pounds. Ill post the sequence tomorrow.

39. Start and finger-tighten the remaining cap screws
being very careful not to move the cylinder head;
then tighten the cap screws in two steps to 25 ft-lb
using the appropriate pattern shown.

the pic is workin.From what I've read rings gaps at .016, better on safe side of to tight...
