2004 King Cat dying and won't Idle

So I went riding on Saturday and Sunday. saturday my sled ran perfect. sunday the sled was a little boggy and would randomly die. I stopped and let it sit each time to make sure I wasn't overheating it. I am just not sure what would be causing the issue. I recently installed a RK TEK high compression head. I was running 93 octane at around 8500 ft elevation. I believe the compression is 14.6 to 1. The sled will run pretty well if i'm always feathering the throttle.
my Throttle safety switch is already unplugged.
any tips would be greatly appreciated.

How are the jets? Fuel Filter?

plugged pilot jet is what first comes to mind.

X2 on the plugged pilot jet I always tried to clean mine during the summer and then once after the first couple of rides of the season
