2000 RMK long track conversion

hey guys just looking for a lil help i have a 2000 RMK 600 with a 136"x2" track just recently bought a skid frame from a 2004 switch back and i am going to put in a 144"x2" track was just wondering if any one would know if i have to change the gearing in it too??? thanks for the help

That is a mater of personal prefrence . I like mine geared tall but you will haft to run it and see if you want more snap or more speed . Most people gear down i dont so try it out .

On my 2000 700 RMK I went from the 136 to a series 4 159 X 2.125 with all windows open and clipped and left every thing else alone. What a machine, milage alone went from 7 to 13 + and it just rolls so much easier you can feel it. The new thinner track makes a real difference. It is 100 mph plus any old time and I am usually carrying a ten inch ice auger and all the gear.

Like Manowar said, personal preference. I have a 99 700 with PSI twins and a 151 2". It was originally a 136 2", so I geared it down when I did the track swap thinking I had to, but, ended up going back to stock gearing. It made enough power to still spin the heck out of the 151. My opinion is to try the setup first and decide later if you need to regear or not.
