2000 Powder Special EFI clutching issue

Well, I'm thinking it's a clutching issue, so here it goes. It seems my sled is having an issue with back shifting. When going down a hill, I turn it to go up the hill, grab a handful of throttle and bog. A friend of mine rode it yesterday, got stuck in some snow because of the bog, lifted the hood and noticed the belt was halfway down the shieves in the secondary, almost like it didn't upshift to power out. Currently I'm running 48.5 weights and yellow/white in the primary. Secondary has a red/white in the second hole. Primary riding is 3000-6000 ft. Engine seems to be running fine, but the shifting sucks. Once the revs get up, it pulls good. Looking for possible suggestions on helping the backshift issue. Thanks in advance.

If its been a while since you've had the secondary clutch cleaned, it may be just dirty. As well, if the secondary still has the original spring in it, it wouldn't hurt to put in a fresh one (they're only 15 bucks or so, and they weaken with time)

Thanks. The secondary has been cleaned and the spring in it is new. I'm thinking I either have the spring in the wrong hole or I'm just using the wrong spring.

I think your spring tension might be a little light for the climbin and stuff..I think stock is the center hole...I run mine all the way but I don't need to go 100..

Looks like I have a broken motor mount that is affecting the sled. Buddy put a make shift bolt in the motor mount and it seems to pick up better. Going to look at it more in detail tomorrow to see what all is needed. Not sure if it's the actual motor mount that is broken or just the bolt. Sounds like the bolt that goes thru. Wonder how hard it is to replace those?

I had a similar issue with my zr it would run fine on the packed but when it got into the deep or too much of a load it bogged, my dealer gave me a yellow red spring (I think, cant currently check on it) and told me to run it in the middle hole, it made a huge difference, much better than the old white red spring.
