I have the same sled, an 01 800 151 snowcheck, that was the last year of the non VES 800 - a great motor. Here's some things I've done (that I can remember) : SLP single, can, and porting, dash vents, ditch the sway bar, narrow ski stance, taller seat, '03 steering post and riser (get a post from wildchild instead - much better and he'll build it taller and with a tip up if you want), simmons skis, removed all of the foam from the hood, removed some bogey wheels and added scratchers. Get the clutching right, if you arent sure of it yourself it's worth every $ to pay someone that knows what they're doing. Check the runout. The older chassis takes alot more work to ride than the newer sleds, it's nowhere near as agile, but it will go every where the new stuff will with a little bit of skill (or maybe its a lot of luck!)

my old man has an 01 800 snowcheck as well. it lost a water pump belt last spring and stuck the moter so now we're doing a major overhaul. bored and ported, wiseco pistons, redone crank and crank cases with the big bearing kit, cpc twin pipes and a cpc high compression head. throw all of the into a fabcraft 156 chassis and you have yourself one ripper of a sled! :D

There's a few GenII mods still running around. :)

RMI gear drive. Had a PSI 1155 twin in it. Now it'll have an 03 VES800 Pol twin and a cheater button.

edge mods

I took an edge bulkhead and built my own. I cut the narrow running boards off, and fabricated my own. Built my own steering and had some local kids powder coat the whole thing, and dropped a 900 cat inside. ( Mainly because I can't afford to keep fixing Polaris's weak cranks). I don't know how or have enough time to post pics, but if you give me your e-mail address, I can send them that way. I also deleted all the stock coolers and am running 1 single cooler from an 800 summit, and jammed a 162 X 2 1/2 inch camo under it.

Anyone interested in 2 year old Gen II Diamond S Titanium Tube Chassis? I just bought it at Haydays today and am having some buyers remorse. The chassis is in perfect condition. New this was $8800 from Diamond S

Has belly pans, tank, lighweight hood, steering post, carbon fiber trailing arms plus all the parts on the pictures below.

I have $3500 in it and will sell for that if someone wants it. Could delivery with in reason or meet halfway.
