6 tooth driver with a 3.1 spacing of extrovert teeth.

Drop and roll chaincase 7 tooth or 8 tooth no slip drivers. I have a 2.4 on my edge with brop n roll and 8 tooth drivers and have 7/8 " + clearance to the bulk head.

What do you have for clearance now, what drivers/size, and is the case in the stock location or has it been dropped and rolled?

Stock case location 9 tooth 5/16

7 tooth 2.86 pitch no slip driver is 6 1/4" diameter
8 tooth 2.86 pitch no slip driver is 7 1/8" diameter
9 tooth 2.52 pitch stock driver is 7.07" diameter

So if your running a 2.4" with the stock 9 tooth you should have room for the 2.6 with the 7 tooth 2.86 no slip drivers or do a drop and roll and run the 8 tooth no slip.

It looks like a 7 tooth x 2.86" lug spacing drivers will work with a 2.4" track with no drop and roll.

Yes it will work. I ran avid 7 tooth 2.86 drivers with a 2.4 155 2.86 track on my edge before I did the extended chain case. Now I'm running 8 thooth walhs no slip with the 2.4 track and have about 1" of clearance.

At what point does rubbing on top of the tunnel becomes a concern? This is assuming the skid is mounted in the stock location. I've got marks on top of my tunnel even from running a 2" track; I've always set tension per the service manual and never experienced any ratcheting, so pretty sure it's not from running a loose track. Based on that, I'd be concerned about losing track speed running a taller lug, but maybe the track doesn't flop around as much under power? Just curious.

As I found out I am running a 2.4 track now and no rub marks

2" tracks produce ratcheting with recommended track tensions on the 9 tooth standard drivers when the factory installed only 2 drivers in the 2004 800's. 2002's had 4 drivers, of which 2 of them had teeth on only one side. The 2002's would get ratchet if the track was too loose. In conclusion, the 800's need extrovert drivers if there are only two drivers, with just a 2 inch track.

I had a 2002 with only 2 drivers from the factory. pretty sure they all came that way since 97 700rmk all way up to last edge rmk models. all tracks will rub tunnel a bit when you pound the sled through whoops and whatnot. no big deal unless your seeing a lot of rubbing around the driver area.
