I recently blew my 2002 xc sp 800 up. Half of the water pump side piston skirt went into the crankcase so the engine is not worth rebuilding so I bought a 700 out of a 1999 gen 2 chassis. The problem I am having is the wiring harness does not match at the plug in right out of the engine. The biggest connector is the same but the two smaller ones are completely different. On the 800 there is two small connectors with 3 wires each. The 700 has two smaller connectors one with three wires and one with two. Can I swap the stators under the flywheel or do I have to get a wiring harness to match the 700?
