All -I converted my 19' from chain case to belt. Curious what ratio I would need to get rom TKI to match the 2021 QD2 gearing? I have a 25 tooth on now and on the TKI website it states 2.32.

I am running 58:25 and tried the 24 but lost a bit of track speed and wasn't ready to re-clutch to get the most out of the 24. I bet it would be better if I took the time to adjust for it.I am going to do the same thing on mine this summer. I think I will use the 24 tooth top.
You definitely need the 850 or turbo to turn a 174 track fast.I am going back and forth. My 16 has the TKI on it geared 25/63 for a 2.52 ratio. Pulling a 174 3 inch track it had a ton of bottom end but doesn’t climb in the longer pulls like my 850 174 does. Not sure how much of that is gearing and how much is engine.
So the Qd2 is around a 2.25? I started out with a 24 tooth which is 2.42 - switched to a 25 tooth at a 2.32 and pondering a 26 which is 2.23. @4 pulled crazy hard off the bottom. I like how the 25 pulls but lacks top end on long pulls. I have mine completely re-clutched as well. Just wonder how much sand i'll lose going from a 25 to a 26 in the TKI belt drive gearing options.63:28 is closest to gearing for QD 2 but you have the chain case and that model has a 58 tooth bottom gear so you will need a 26 top gear. The best choice however is determined by your motor power and track length and lug size. Also altitude you ride and type of riding.
Do you have adjustable clutch weights? You would be better off running that 25 top gear and move some weight to the tip of the clutch weights, if it feels its just not shifting out. This way you more effect only the top end and less suffer on the bottom end.So the Qd2 is around a 2.25? I do have adjustable weights and that's a great suggestion the more I think about it. Feels like it hits wall with top end speedDo you have adjustable clutch weights? So if it is maintaining its RPM but is not shifting this can do the trick. If it is already dropping RPM because it just has no more to give, obviously it will just lose RPM more with more tip weight. A steeper helix would also make it shift out more and load the motor more.I do have adjustable weights and that's a great suggestion the more I think about it.
