• I am getting worn out moving your "For sale" threads, including loosely veiled sales pitches for "How much is it worth) or Wanted to buy to the swapmeet.

I will no longer be moving them for you as I have been in the past.

Some days are 20 per day.

If I see it, it will get deleted.

I try to help you...please try to help me.

  • .
  • I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.

A Group Buy here on SnoWestOnline.com would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers.

Here is an example of a viable "Group Buy"

A promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet.

If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy... as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.

If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.

Also, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.

As ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.

    Have a great season.

From this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums.

174 MTNTK turbo pro (10 lbs) VS 174 sidewinder

we just dropped thunder's kit in a SW yesterday. HH weights, 33-35 healix their springs for prim. and 2edary new rollers for both and a 911 cover. we are hoping to test this saturday and make a ride to the mountains sunday. ill let you know how we like it and if i get a card for the cam. ill try to get some footage!
well we did most of the test\tune today in marginal snow conditions but wow that winder woke up like some one slapped it on the a$$! didn't make it to town to get a micro card so wont get footage but we are headed to the mountains tomorrow and am excited to see how it stacks up at the low elevation we run.
well the SW was tacking low on the ride {8450 in the mids 8700 up top} but I was still smoking it even on the top end runs. the mountains were wind blown and drifty so we didn't get to hit them just played in lows and in the trees. we are going to try to finish tuning it on Friday and hit the hills again on Saturday... he wants to get a pipe and cold air intake ordered this weekend so we will see what difference that makes in the coming weeks! what RPMs is your buddy tacking his SW at? we have heard every thing from 8500 to 9000 so we are going to shoot for 8700-8750 and try again.
well me and my bud went out and did some boon-docking last sat. in 4 ft of blower snow and the winder is puling a lot better but still not beating the silber turbo axys at 5 pounds at about 1500ft. we never got to float the top-end of either sled but from what we can tell its not their yet! we got a hindle pipe and cold air intake on the way! with any luck it will be on before next weekend and ill let you know if that does it! I got to say tho that sled pops on top and climes like a champ!
we got the clutches dialed in a cold air intake and pipe on it {the winder} and when we headed out he hade a problem with the reverse actuator it shifted in-between forward and reverse going about 20-25mph sent him over the bars and was making a grinding sound so needless to say he got towed out. we were just lucky that it was only about 400 yards from the road so we are waiting on the shop to get the warranty work dun but are hopeful for this coming weekend. its looking like the winder is pulling the turbo pros at hi elevation but i still haven't hade the winder pull the turbo axys at low elevation... pro is at 10 pounds and the axis is at 5.. the cold air intake and pipe did a lot more than we hade expected so I will half to wait until we hit some hills before I can say that im still pulling away from him

My viper did the same thing by shifting into neutral and grinding. So, I ditched reverse with a single gear and a heavy duty jackshaft from black diamond xtreme. Never had another issue with the hyvo setup.
