17 Polaris head mod for improved cooling?

My engine is apart due to failure. I'm concerned about heat, so found a 2018 head for not too much that I'm going to swap on due to the better flowing thermostat with a lower temp opening point.

However, when looking at the head, I don't understand the way the coolant is designed to flow. The intake side of the head has four fairly large holes for coolant from the cylinder to flow through, but the exhaust side only has a couple small holes for the coolant from the cylinder to flow through. It looks like on some aftermarket or cheater heads, a larger hole is created over the exhaust valve area or one or two additional holes are drilled in this area. Would it be helpful for me to add a hole or two over the exhaust valve area on a stock head?
