14' pro turbo top end ??

Just bought a turbo pro. New to Polaris. Compression is good and cylinders look good with head removed how long can or should you go before doing top end / fix kit. Has 80hr 1100ish miles. Herd so many horror stories about Polaris and I hav always been a cat guy so not sure if I should just rebuild it or ride it. Been boosted since about 300 mi MTNTK pump gas kit
 
Stock reeds seems to work best and if compression and cylinders look good run it. Re check around 1500-2000. The 13s on up don't seem to have the top end issues especially boosted. Enjoy your new toy!
 
What compression should I be looking for 120ish?? every gauge is a lil different but my snap on is pretty consistent. How far between reed replacement my RG M8 liked them every year

Compression on my 14 pro, dry, throttle pinned, 134 and 136 psi. Sled has ~1400 miles
 
compression numbers widely from low altitude like minnesota to higher elevations like colorado , here in ut at 5000 ft stock compression will be down around 11o psi if memory serves me .

Depends on the gauge too, design, hose length, etc. Just so the cylinders are close and the sled performed well before I would run it.
 
I've seen some high mileage Pro's with turbos. These are with BD kits running auxiliary injectors too. I'd change top end every 2000 miles and reeds as needed. I don't have any experience with the bigger injector setups like MTN TEK uses, but I do like how BD places two extra injectors in the airbox to feed the sled.
Based on what I've seen, adding the extra fuel in the BD turbo Pro's from '13 to '15 were really reliable. I've seen two, both '14's with over 4000 miles in the Klim fleet. Camoplast put over 7500 on a '15 Pro with a BD turbo and that was on the original top end and reeds! I wouldn't recommend this, but it has been done.

I currently have my 2013 motor out boosted about 1500miles and the pistons are looser then I could of ever imagined coming from cats myself. I didnt do a compression test as I planned to rebuild anyways but I would simply look into the Y pipe and look for scratches and also pop the head off and see how sloppy they are inside. Easy pre season checks
