Hey guys, I have found a very clean 2004 800 edge with a 144 track. Sled has 2500 miles on it and don't know what to pay for it? Also is there anything to watch out for or any mods that need to be done with that many miles? Are these pretty reliable sleds? I would like a newer sled but don't have the cash so i am trying to find a good older sled. Thanks

What type of riding are you in to? The edge with a 144 is a great in between sled, its pretty versatile with that length track and the 800 has a ton of potential. The 800 can be known for crank problems but having the motor aligned properly with a balanced clutch and proper warm up procedures the motors can last a very long time. The SLP single pipe can and airhorn kit are probably two of the most common mods to really bring this motor alive and let it breathe more unrestricted. Lots of great help from these guys on the forum too.

I buddy just paid $3000 for a 2003 800 144 with 2800 miles. Has the SLP single and simmons ski's. Hope this helps. I guess I don't know if the 03's had the reverse. The 04 should and that should make it worth a little more too.
