• I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.

A Group Buy here on SnoWestOnline.com would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers.

Here is an example of a viable "Group Buy"

A promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet.

If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy... as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.

If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.

Also, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.

As ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.

    Have a great season.

From this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums.

03 800 rmk no spark

I've seen a lot of posts with this problem but no feed back on solutions, sled just quit going up trail.pulled plugs to check for fire, plugs sparked once on first pull then nothing, towed home, disconnected single black and white wire to eliminate, tether ,ignition switch ,tors, checked stator resistance values, passed, pulled flywheel to check stator wires, good, pulled stator checked solder connections on back of stator good. but what I did find was remnants of a
old water pump belt wedged in between all flywheel magnets( filling the gap between magnets) removed all belt debris, reassembled, tested 1 set of spark to plugs then nothing. tested with known good coil and CPU, nothing, Any thoughts? Thinking secondary windings in stator bad, but passed RESISTANCE TO test? what gives? Thanks in advance, CRANK

Chunks of debris in the stator, and the fact that you have tried CPU and coils, points to the stator. Even if you have continuity with a multimeter, you can still have issues with it running properly. Are headlights flashing when you pull the cord? Any indication of electricity being generated?

You could also have an electrical gremlin with a short or bad ground somewhere.

The thermostat on top of the cylinder cap will go out every few thousand miles, and disconnect all electricity to the plugs. You can test for this defect by disconnecting the 2 wire plug to this thermostat, that sits above the engine, and then make yourself a small U shaped wire that you have removed some insulation at each end. And then plug those 2 end wires into each end of the 2 wire plug that you just disconnected, so as to connect the wires to each other. Electrical tape in place. This U wire will complete the circuit that gets electricity from the stator to the CDI, and then to the coil and then to the plugs.
