Default Summit Sport 600 Carb

I know they're not the latest and greatest, but does anyone own or have some seat time on a new(ish) Summit Sport with the carb'd 600? Curious about them since they're pretty cheap and look plenty capable.

I'm an east-coaster, btw, for whatever that's worth.

The 600 carb is a great engine. I have one in my trail sled and is an overachiever and it has 5500 miles and never been opened up. If that's what's in your budget, I'd say go for it.

Depends on what type of riding your going to be doing.
If your going to be mountain riding get a 800.
Had a 600 for my wife, she had to hold it wide open a bunch to go into places. I’d let her ride my 800 and she felt way more comfortable at only 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Even when I rode that 600 it was a work out to go where my 800 went.

Thanks for the replies, gents. One of the reasons I ask is because there's a 2017 Summit Sport nearby with very low miles asking very low $$$. It's like reverse sticker shock after what I spent new on my SB Pro-X and looking at top-tier new mountain sled prices, haha.

That seems to be the general consensus about the 600 carb, which is definitely appealing! It's not even a budget thing, just thinking it would make for a relatively cheap option to go play in the woods here in northern NH and then give my buddies sh!t when I get to the same places as them on their 154s/165s!

It would be skewed towards like a ~70/30 crossover (off/on trail). From recent experience and a new found love of playing off trail, I'd much rather rip a mountain sled through the trails than try to explore off trail with a trail sled. I wouldn't be trying to climb the steepest and deepest with it... ok, maybe every now and then...
